Abstract

Fuzzy thinking, with a new look at imprecise and spectrum problems, has been able to find a special place in various scientific fields. In contrast to the classical paradigm's emphasis on binary oppositions, fuzzy thinking posits a continuum of intermediate states.
This paper delves into the correspondence between the ontological concepts within Sadra's metaphysics, such as the degrees of existence, substantial motion, the mind-essence relation, and causality, and the fundamental principles of fuzzy logic, including continuity, Fractality and fuzziness. Despite the prevalent application of fuzzy theory in scientific and technological contexts, this study reveals its potential to illuminate philosophical concepts, especially those rooted in transcendental wisdom. By concentrating on the ontological foundations of fuzzy logic and employing a comparative matrix, we demonstrate a striking congruence between these concepts. Both fuzzy logic and Sadra's metaphysics emphasize continuity, gradation, and overlap. Consequently, we propose an innovative model that integrates fuzzy principles to elucidate Sadra's metaphysical concepts. This model offers a novel interpretation of Sadra's metaphysics grounded in the fuzzy paradigm, employing concepts such as the principle of fuzzy gradation, fuzzy substantial motion, and the fuzzy mind-essence relation to provide a more refined representation of philosophical concepts.
