A review of the existing literature reveals that most studies have relied on secondary sources and lack a coherent analytical framework for representing the internal logic of Allameh's thought, thus necessitating a direct examination of this foundational text. The central problem is to evaluate the comprehensiveness and exclusiveness of this definition, focusing on the two core components of "khariq-i 'adat" (breaking of natural custom) and "tahaddi" (challenge), which is investigated through thematic content analysis. The findings indicate that Allameh Tabatabai explains the "breaking of natural custom" not in opposition to the principle of causality, but within the framework of divine will as the absolute cause that supersedes material causes. However, this explanation lacks empirical criteria to distinguish a miracle from unknown natural phenomena. The component of "tahaddi" is presented as a necessary condition and a distinguishing feature, yet this stipulation compromises the definition's comprehensiveness by excluding some miracles from its scope. Moreover, the absence of objective criteria for judgment renders it an unfalsifiable, faith-based proposition. Overall, although 'Allamah Tabataba’i’s approach possesses internal consistency from a theological perspective, the proposed definition lacks the necessary methodological inclusiveness and exclusiveness. Ultimately, the study suggests that to overcome this challenge, the conception of tahaddi (challenge) must be conceptually expanded and elevated from a mere linguistic contest to an ‘epistemological contrast between the Creator’s infinite knowledge and the creature’s finite capability.</strong> پژوهش حاضر با هدف بازسازی نظام‌مند و تحلیل ‌انتقادی تعریف معجزه در اندیشۀ علامه طباطبائی براساس کتاب «اعجاز ازنظر عقل و قرآن»، به‌عنوان منبعی دست‌اول، صورت ‌گرفته است. تحلیل پیشینۀ پژوهش، اتکای غالب مطالعات بر منابع ثانویه و فقدان رویکرد تحلیلی منسجم در بازنمایی منطق درونی اندیشۀ علامه طباطبائی را آشکار می‌سازد؛ امری که ضرورت مراجعه به این منبع دست‌اول را نشان می‌دهد. مسئلۀ اصلی، ارزیابی جامعیت و مانعیت این تعریف با تمرکز بر دو مؤلفۀ «خرق‌عادت» و «تحدی» است که ازطریق روش تحلیل‌ محتوای مضمونی در این کتاب پیگیری می‌شود. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد که علامه ‌طباطبائی خرق‌عادت را نه در تعارض با اصل علّیت، بلکه در چارچوب ارادۀ الهی به‌عنوان علت مطلق که بر علل مادی سیطره دارد، تبیین می‌کند. بااین‌حال، این تبیین فاقد معیارهای تجربی برای تمایز معجزه از پدیده‌های طبیعی ناشناخته است. مؤلفۀ تحدی نیز به‌عنوان شرط ضروری و وجه تمایز معجزه معرفی می‌شود، اما این اشتراط، جامعیت تعریف را با خارج ساختن پاره‌ای معجزات از شمول آن، مخدوش می‌سازد و به‌دلیل فقدان معیار داوری عینی، به گزاره‌ای ابطال‌ناپذیر با کارکرد ایمانی بدل می‌شود. در مجموع، گرچه رویکرد علامه ‌طباطبائی ازمنظر الهیاتی دارای انسجام درونی است، اما تعریف ارائه ‌شده ازنظر علمی فاقد جامعیت و مانعیتِ روش‌شناختیِ لازم است. پژوهش در نهایت پیشنهاد می‌کند که برای برون‌رفت از این چالش، تلقی از تحدی باید از سطح یک هماوردیِ زبانیِ صرف، به یک تقابل معرفتی میان علم نامتناهی خالق و توان محدود مخلوق، ارتقاء و توسعۀ مفهومی یابد. https://jrt.shirazu.ac.ir/article_8616_b35448b44db7885a342b79709707f2b1.pdf
